Lamar Odom Will Start In Game 3

Lamar Odom has spoken to the media earlier today regarding his court adjustment. Odom is expected to start at small forward instead of suspended Ron Artest in Game 3 of the Western Conferences semifinals game against the Mavericks. The Lakers are behind 2 games after losing the first two games to Dallas on their home court.

Odom hasn’t played significant minutes at small forward for the Lakers for several years even though he has quite a bit of experience at this position and should be able to fill the Lakers’ needs. Odom is one of the most versatile players in the NBA and is a proven winner who has come up with big shots in crucial moments.
Odom is a 11 year NBA veteran who averages 14.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3 assists and 32.2 minutes per game. Odom started 35 games during the season and starting tonight for Artest will not be a huge adjustment. However, the Lakers will need a lot more help from the rest of his teammates. It is doubtful if the defending champs will be able to turn around the series, especially with the trust issues that have supposedly came up this season, according to Andrew Bynum.
